Ever since I resumed writing in this blog for my breakfast adventures, I've had more people tell me that they're interested in going out to breakfast with me! I'm pretty good company, when I want to be, so when my friend Randi Lynn told me that she wanted to make plans for breakfast, I took her up on it! Short sidebar, I'm very, very lucky to have some absolutely amazing friends - people that have been in my life since elementary or middle school, and Randi Lynn is one of those people. We have shared a million laughs, and definitely some tears during the span of our 25 or 26 years of friendship. (I'm actually not positive how long it's been- math is not my strong point. #mathproblems.) Anyway, I appreciate her... and she knows that, but I felt like it needed to be said anyway. We decided to venture out to
Come Spring Cafe in Union, Maine for our breakfast this morning. Neither of us had ever been there, and I've easily driven by it hundreds of times. If you go by there on the weekend it's hard to miss it, people are parked along the road up and down route 17. We actually got the last table in the place, and were both pretty hungry by the time our food came out.
Randi Lynn opted for the homemade corned beef hash, two scrambled egg whites, and one slice of French toast.
I opted for two eggs over easy, sausage, home fries and a single pancake bigger than my head. (I only ate half of the pancake.)
The food was really good... and reasonably priced. My breakfast, with a coffee came to $9.99. These breakfast adventures have been a really good way for me to connect with people again. This is something that I had forgotten the importance of over the past six years or so - I feel so grateful to be able to catch up with my friends and loved ones over a good meal.
