Natural Connections

Pemaquid Point. Taken on a recent Labor Day trip.

The Ocean and the jagged line it follows along the coast of Maine. Honeybees and Wildflowers. Trees and the ground where they eventually take root. You, and Me.  Natural Connections.

I've spent so much time in the past three weeks thinking that I should stop and hold my breath... just in case something came up that was going to make things fall apart and leave me thinking "Ok, maybe I'm just done dating... forever." But nothing has fallen apart. In fact, I'd venture a guess that things have actually fallen together quite nicely.. effortlessly even. I'm not going to bore you with all of the cliches that have fallen out of my mouth lately, but honestly, when you find the right person, things just click in a way that finally makes sense. I don't even get upset when he has to stop to look at cars on the side of the road.

Neither of my ungrateful sisters wanted to have breakfast with me this morning. I say ungrateful because I spent the early part of my Saturday morning running around for Sister R trying to find her shoes to waitress in, and then spent my afternoon with Sister D, taking a scenic drive around Rockland and Owls Head with some people she works with. You'd think ONE of them would be gracious enough to eat some breakfast with me.. But NOOOOO... R. is preparing for a trip to New Orleans, and D. started a Whole 30 diet this morning... so... breakfast on my own. It's fine, I'm totally joking, I love eating breakfast by myself. I'm currently sitting in the fabulous Lincolnville Center General Store listening to Sublime's Sublime album pumping through the speakers inside the store, drinking some amazing Coffee on the Porch Key West Cuban Roast coffee, and writing this blog. Life is good, friends. I could not decide between their delicious breakfast sandwiches on home made biscuits, or the Golden Beet and Goat Cheese Toast... so I had both. And I'm not even fucking sorry. That Golden Beet and Goat Cheese toast was amazing. And their breakfast sandwiches never disappoint either.

So, what does the rest of this day hold? Well... I need to decide what I'm going to make the man for dinner. I'll probably see if there's anything here at the store that I MUST have, and then mosey on back home to knit and catch up on some trash TV.  (And no, I'm not talking about the Patriots game.) Just a reminder folks, my team already played this week, and they beat the Falcons 18-12. Fly, Eagles, Fly!
