I Survived. BOOM!
This post likely deserves a lot more attention and story telling than I am prepared to give it today..but here goes. Once upon a time, in a land not so far away, I was the victim of domestic violence at the hands of a man I have known for a very large portion of my life. Yesterday, my story aired on the Let’s Talk About It radio show on WERU. You can listen to it HERE. Please know that the decision to tell my story- was completely mine, but I did it for every single person who has ever had a hand laid on them by this man, and also for every person who has been the victim of domestic violence. I will never stop telling my story. I hope that some day he stops his cycle of violence against women- but at the very least, I hope that some day he is held responsible for the damage and years of trauma he has caused to every woman he has come into contact with.
