Day 5- Waffle Me This...

 

Fridays in FiDi boasts a wide array of food trucks.. I had sort of a crap day, and I was craving some comfort food, so I hoofed it two whole blocks to the Real Good Truck to get me some waffles.  Their menu has some interesting things on it... waffle dogs, savory waffles, sweet waffles... and of course... waffle fries. My eyes were way bigger than my stomach.. so I ordered two waffles. In my head, I told myself I was making up for the vast caloric deficit yesterday brought.

First up was the waffle with fried chicken and spicy ranch sauce. Y'all... this might have been one of the best things I've ever eaten. I picked it up.. just as you see it above- and ate it like a sandwich.  It was the tastiest sandwich I've ever eaten.... until....

..... the banana and nutella waffle. I only ate half of this. Sharing is caring... so I gave the other half  to one of my partners in delicious eats. (Hi Dina!!)  The nutella was warm and melty from the hot waffle- it was absolutely amazing.

So, here's the breakdown- The Fried Chicken Waffle was $6.00, The Banana Nutella Waffle was $4.00.. and I washed it down with an orange flavored Pellegrino for $3.00. Total cost was $13.00... and it was well worth it.

And.. just because it's a fun picture... this is what my wait for the ferry in the rain looked like this afternoon. Enjoy your weekend everyone... I'm going to spend mine in a food induced coma... I need to rest up for next week.
