Day 12- Why I can't stand inappropriate drunks.

So, the Giants parade was in lower Manhattan today. I hail from the great state of Maine... I know allll about obnoxious sports fans. Hell, I'll admit it... I AM one. But I was almost spit on three times today while I tried to get a glimpse of the Super Bowl Champions during my lunch break. The third time convinced me that it was Time.to.Go... so I walked back towards my office and hit up the Milk Truck for a Grilled Cheese and Milkshake.

I ordered a three cheese Grilled Cheese, not knowing what was on it. I even thought that perhaps I'd been given the wrong sandwich when I started eating it. It was the best grilled cheese I have ever had. It had Gruyere, Aged Cheddar, Wisconsin Blue, and caramelized Granny Smith apples, on rosemary bread. The sandwich was $7.25 and worth every penny.  The Chocolate Shake, however... was $5.50.. tiny... and tasty. It was yummy.. but really small.
This thing was crispy and toasty on the outside...and full of melty, stringy, cheese deliciousness on the inside. It was the perfect grilled cheese.  And unlike my friend Denise (Who is convinced that Grilled Cheese should be their own food group...) I even ate the crust.

I dreaded my commute home today.  I knew that the rowdy Giants fans who accompanied me on my way TO work, were going to be coming home... and they were going to be drunk.  I left work about 20 minutes earlier than I typically do to make sure that I got a seat on the boat... and found a line of about 100 fans in front of me.  Drunk fans with children.  Drunk fans who let their children run all over the boat while they continued drinking.  I look forward to my commute tomorrow.
